Celebrity Overhaul
See Dr John Tickell in action on Australia's #1 lifestyle program

Now there's no excuse to stay on the couch, except to watch Australia's number one lifestyle program on Sunday nights at 6.30pm. With summer rapidly approaching, whether you're 16 or 60, unfit or overweight, Celebrity Overhaul has something for you.

The celebrity volunteers have a common goal - to get fit and healthy for life. But each have joined Dr John Tickell and the Overhaul team for diverse personal reasons, with issues including obesity, yo-yo dieting, ageing, injury and addictions all to feature.

Deborah Hutton returns to host the six-week second series, which is about more than just weight loss - it's designed to balance mind, body and spirit. The program features tips, motivation, recipes and the know-how to get the body and healthy lifestyle you've always wanted.

Celebrity Overhaul doesn't preach fads or restrictive diets, but recommends a simple and sensible approach to eating. And forget about boring exercise. The new series shows the road to personal fitness can be paved with vibrant and enjoyable activity that delivers results.

Proof of Overhaul's success is in the amazing results achieved by participants in the first series. Merv Hughes dropped 21kg and starlet Melissa Bell went from a size 10 to a six in just six weeks. The seven celebrities lost a combined 68.5kg and nine months later continue to enjoy healthier lives.

Stars of the much-anticipated new series include media baroness Ita Buttrose, series one poster boy and former Australian cricketer Merv Hughes, international model and actress Kate Fischer and Olympian Nova Peris. Also on board for a pre-Summer overhaul are plus-size model and mother of three Symantha Perkins, Human Nature's Phil Burton and Australian Idol's Anthony Sumbati.

This time, the hugely popular program heads overseas, with CampOverhaul set in Thailand's spectacular five-star health spa Chiva-Som, whose guests have included Kylie Minogue, Elizabeth Hurley and Megan Gale.

Dr Tickell has long been committed to improving health and well-being. Best-selling author of books such as The Great Australian Diet - The Atkins Alternative, A Passion For Living and Laughter, Sex, Vegetables and Fish, Dr John Tickell is now bringing his famous 12 vegetable soup to life with Sanitarium and launching his latest book, The Great Australian Diet Recipe Book, co-authored by his wife Sue.

Don't miss Dr John on Celebrity Overhaul. Sundays at 6.30pm from October 16 2005.
